Welcome!
We are “Papa J” and “Nana”. That’s what our favorite little people call us.
We currently live in Alaska where we love to get outdoors and go camping, fishing, biking, hiking, sightseeing, and golfing. We have been married for almost 40 years. We have two beautiful children and three grandchildren, all of which love to travel.
The Merry Vagabonds was developed as an avenue to express ideas and blog about all of our travel excursions. We’ve driven across the country and back multiple times. We have been to all but about 14 states and many states several times.
Papa J has actually been to more states than I have but I’m just counting the ones we’ve been to together.
From the time we met, we’ve been traveling, whether it was to visit family in North Carolina, Alabama, in our military moves, or just traveling because we enjoy new things and places to go.
